The Santa Croce Apartments are inside a farmhouse that has been owned by our family since last century and was for decades inhabited and lovingly cared for by the farmer and his family.
The farmhouse was the center of family life: the large and lush olive grove was fed and cared for every day; time was found to keep up with the animals: cows, pigs, chickens and rabbits were cared for and bred; the vegetable garden was tended or and bread was baked in the wood-burning oven. Life flowed slowly and industriously in a scenic place, a good, sun-kissed land.
Time passed, needs and opportunities changed, and as the years passed, the farmhouse was deserted and Santa Croce risked first neglect and then certain ruin, while the olive grove always continued to be lovingly cultivated and cared for. So in 2005 our father decided to give new life to this place, too beautiful to let it crumble and be swallowed up by the wilderness.
A wise renovation led to the current conformation with seven apartments all with independent entrances, to which was added a panoramic swimming pool for the exclusive use of guests and a pleasant and cool barbecue area with fireplace, tables and chairs for outdoor dining.
Today, we three sisters joyfully host in our farmhouse those who feel the need for a regenerating break and want to immerse themselves in nature, discover the beauty of Umbria and live an authentic experience of relaxation and tranquility.
